Dr. Zerka began his academic journey at Michigan State University, earning degrees in psychology and neuroscience. He then completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he honored his clinical skills and deepened his understanding of functional and aesthetic dentistry.
Throughout his career, Dr. Zerka has treated a wide variety of patients, tailoring his care to meet each individual’s unique needs. He played a leadership role in Michigan’s Victors for Veterans program, serving underserved veterans, and has continued to provide comprehensive dental care in the Lansing and Ypsilanti communities. His approach is simple yet powerful: treat every patient like family, offering not just high-quality care but also education and guidance for long-term oral health.
When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Zerka enjoys cheering on Detroit and MSU sports with his family, playing golf, volleyball, and tennis, and spending time in his garden.
